Change is upon us.
Let me explain …
Five years ago, my father started Senior Home Help at the ripe old age of 78 years old, with the desire to help people get assistance in the comfort of their own home.
Since then, there has been a lot of changes, and I’m excited to share with you another new development and change.
I’m excited to announce that on 27th December, 2021 we changed our name from Senior Home Help to
Firstly, let me answer one question you may have..
How did we come up with the date of 27th December to change our name?
This was really a sentimental reason.
You see, my father who started the business, sadly passed away last year on 27th December, and I thought what better way to celebrate and remember him who started everything, by giving birth to the new business name on the day he passed.
That way, each year when we celebrate the launch of the new brand, we will be reminded of how and who started it all.
Why are we changing the name?
There are several reasons for the change.
Firstly, we are wanting to better relate to everyone we have the opportunity and privilege to assist and serve, and that is everyone from 18 years and above, not just Seniors. While our Seniors continue to be a very important group, there are others we currently assist and serve that are not yet Seniors.
Secondly, we are excited to be introducing the new service of Geriatric Care Management in the New Year.
This is a service that is near and dear to my heart after personally experiencing the issues of having my father go into the hospital several times and wondering if there was a person who has experience in navigating the healthcare system that I could call on to assist me through this process.
The good news is, as I later discovered, there is and we will be introducing this service in the New Year.
Thirdly, we are in the process of expanding the business into other states through the franchising of the business.
In doing that we are taking the opportunity to change the name and develop the brand of our business so that we can bring in (and add to) aspects of the culture from where both my late father, and I are from, which if you didn’t know is New Zealand.
What does that mean for you?
Apart from hearing a different name when you call us, see a different logo when you receive communication from us, or visit us online at our website, nothing to significant will change for you.
What will things look like going forward?
